This Privacy Policy explains how Huntfolia ("Huntfolia," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use huntfolia.com and our related services (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you search for a plant or start a hunt, we collect your email address, ZIP code, the plant and size you're looking for, and any feedback you send. If you purchase a Concierge Hunt, payment is processed by our payment provider (Stripe); we do not store your full card details.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we automatically collect device and usage information (such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and referring links) through cookies and similar technologies, including analytics and advertising tools described below.

How we use your information

• To find plants near you and email you the results of your hunt.
• To fulfill Concierge Hunts, including contacting local garden centers on your behalf.
• To operate, secure, and improve the Service.
• To send you updates about your plant and, with your consent, marketing you can opt out of at any time.
• To measure marketing performance and prevent fraud, and as required by law.

How we share your information

• Service providers who help us run the Service — for example email delivery (Klaviyo), hosting and database (Supabase, Vercel), payments (Stripe), and analytics/advertising (Google, Meta).
• Garden centers and growers. To help you find a plant locally, we may share what you're looking for and your general area (such as ZIP code) with nearby garden centers or growers so they can confirm availability. Aggregated, de-identified demand information (for example, how many people in an area are seeking a plant) may also be shared with retail partners.
• Legal and safety. When required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.

We do not sell your personal information for money.

Cookies, analytics, and advertising

We use a "remember me" cookie so you don't have to re-enter your email on each search, and analytics/advertising tools (such as Google Analytics, and where enabled, Meta and Google advertising pixels) to understand usage and measure ads. You can control cookies through your browser and opt out of certain advertising via the settings offered by Google and Meta.

Your choices and rights

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in any email. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to opt out of certain processing. To make a request, contact us at hello@huntfolia.com.

Data retention and security

We keep your information for as long as needed to provide the Service and for legitimate business or legal purposes, then delete or de-identify it. We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

We may update this Policy from time to time. We'll post the updated version here and revise the date above.
